    My October Challenge

Day 2 - week 2 of 6 am boot camp!

I have previously written of my 10 lbs of extra post marriage weight.  So - I decided to get up and do something about it.  No more wandering into the gym working at my own pace.  No more several mile bike rides.  It is time to CHALLENGE myself and push it to the limit.

I have started my 2nd week of boot camp.  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday's from 6am to 7AM for 4 weeks at Freedom Park. Rain, sleet, snow, thunder, cold... every day we workout.  My girlfriends Kate and Kelly are also in camp.  We not only have to challenge our bodies each morning - the alarm clock is a challenge.  I'm only an early morning girl when it's time to catch a flight to an exquisite location :).  We also keep a food journal which has helped tremendously.  Having to write down my snacks, water intake, and meals has exposed me to a new challenge in itself.  I love writing down the healthy foods I eat and dread writing down the bad.

Recently in my family challenges have presented themselves.  Challenges most of us will never face or even dream of having placed before us.  While these challenges do not require my direct attention I have learned many lessons from these series of events.  One being - don't take life for granted.  I have an able body - time to use, test, and make it what I desire.  My October challenge is boot camp and my alarm going off at 5:15 am.

No picture to post because it is dark at boot camp, we don't look cute all sweaty, and I would probably be required to do push ups if I was spotted with my phone. Maybe I will snap one on the last day.
