Surprised with Functional Cuteness

My sister, Kim, and I were THRILLED when we both opened presents on Christmas Eve.  We were acting more like 3 and 6 year olds than my nephews, her children. While shaking the present boxes with name tags for us, our conversation went a little like this:
"It feels like rain boots," - Kim
"What else could possibly be in a box this size?" - Martha Jane.
"Mason knew I wanted a pair,"- Kim
"I told Mama too!" - MJ
(as Daddy awakes from afternoon nap, catching the two of us both holding our boxes with intense examination, we continue without a second of hesitation)
"We are going to look so cute in our boots, girl! said Martha Jane"
Then Kim replies, "I hope we get more rain."

GUESS WHAT?!  Still raining in ATL, we got our rainboots, AND we look CUTE!

Kim, as I type I am wearing my rainboots, watching the rain POUR, and remembering the moment of Christmas 09 when I felt like a kid!

Bringing work to the home difficulties...

No, I am not being a flake.  No, my life has not stopped.  Yes, I am still cooking.  Yes, my plants are alive.  AND, yes, I have wonderful things to share.

HOWEVER, the thing that allows me to experience and enjoy these wonderful things...Paychex, my job, is in over-drive.  Complaining, NO!

Enjoying my busy season at work right now, working towards a quota that consist of five times my normal quota.  Almost there!   Wish me luck and get ready for an influx of updates on the past 4 weeks when I return!
