Festival Season in Atlanta

This past weekend was the annual Dogwood Festival in Piedmont Park (my park because is less than 100 yards from my home) and 420 Fest at Candler Park (a park that is only a few miles away).

Ben and I enjoyed each festival this weekend and it was a great way to spend time with friends/family, hear good music, and see the city in bloom.

Saturday morning I woke up early and worked out in Piedmont Park (I was so early the vendors had not even shown up at their tents - shocking, I know).

Ben's parents stopped by to say hello and visit for a bit on their way out of the park.  So nice to see them so often!

Later that afternoon, we mosied over to my friend Kayte and Ben's home, they live at the end of my block, on the park,  for a cook out with friends to celebrate Dogwood (this is their 2nd festival gathering...I think it is a tradition now!)

Good times on their rooftop...you can see my building directly in the center of photo.

Later that evening Ben and I ventured over to Candler Park to hear Dirty Dozen Brass Band at the 420 Fest.  It was so much fun to run into my old friends from Sullivan's Island, Katherine and Peanut (Mark),  who have just recently moved back to Atlanta.

While this is less than a decent photo of Peanut, I must still include...sorry, Peanut:

Good times in Atlanta and Happy Festival Season!
