Today I'm Singing

Sitting in the porch swing
Listening to the light rain
Beating on the tin roof
Baby, just me and you
Rocking with the rhythm of the rain

Slide on over
Baby, hold me closer
Moving to and fro
Just swayin' like a slow freight train
Rockin' with the rhythm of the rain

So, let the breeze keep blowin'
(Rockin with the rhythm of the rain that's fallin')
(Night birds are singin' the crickets are a callin')
Oh, my heart will never be the same
So, keep the sweet feelin' flowin'
(Whisper in my ear, baby, ooh, feels so fine)
(Nights like this come once in a lifetime)
Me and my baby, rockin' with the rhythm of the rain

Oh, baby, hold me tight
Say you love me
That's all I wanna hear tonight

- The Judds

Mama - This one's for you!

Please love me!

They catch my eye every spring.  I comment on them regularly (probably too often if you were to ask Ben).  When I lived in midtown, I would drive by Oceanaire and gaze at them lining the sidewalks of Peachtree and 14th St while waiting on the red light.  I have always wanted my own. Our friend Stephen  gave Ben and I a bag as a house warming gift - YES!

3 weeks ago I planted Tulip bulbs for the first time.  I am desperately hoping I have planted them correctly.  My fingers are crossed - REALLY TIGHT, that I will drive into Grant Park and gaze at them lining the sidewalk of Grant and Edgewood while pulling up to my home.

I love you Tulips, please love me!

So far so good.

I typically do not make a new year's resolution.  However, this year, I decided that I was going to break the streak - make one and stick to it.  My New Year's resolution: READ MORE BOOKS.

I just finnished my first book of the year and starting my second.  I have to read atleast 12 new books this year.  1 down 11 to go.  So far so good.

Falcons Playoff Game

Unfortunately we lost to the Greenbay Packers, but a great time was had by all.  Such a treat to have been able go to see the Braves and the Falcons in Playoffs this year!
I think I am an Atlanta girl now!

And yes - that is a jerzey I am wearing.  It is the first one I have ever owned and of course #88,
Tony Gonzalez, is the most handsome on the team!
(ok - and he will probably be in the Hall of Fame one day too - but I like the handsome part best)

Snowpocalypse 2011

Sunday Evening
Our front yard
 Heading out to the park
I love this little guy...He once sat on my porch on Sullivan's Island

Corner of Glenwood and Cherokee.  2 blocks from our house.   Our little commercial district in Grant Park.
I could not control myself.  I had to take off running like the dogs...
and making snow angels like the kids

 Our home!

Monday - Bit O Cabin Fever sinks in.  Walk to Six Feet Under to meet Kate and Mike in the middle.  Restaurant owner buys snow drink for all in bar.
 Good oysters!
Walked to the only gas station open to pick up some PBR's.

Our walk home from Kate and Mike's.  They live at the old Cotton Mill.
Oakland Cemetery is so beautiful and amazingly peaceful!

Tuesday and Wednesday - beautiful snow turns to ICE.  No work, no driving, but a lot of enjoying new home with Ben and the kitties!  Happy Snowpocalypse 2011

I'm diggin it. Really?

My polished nails!

What happened to the girl who got manicures and pedicures and had to talk the young lady into NOT putting polish on figernails or toenails?

I like them red, I like them dark red, I like them pink, I just like them polished....well, as of right now I'm really diggin it.
